The Tektronix AWG5202 is Tektronix's arbitrary waveform generator in the AWG5200 Series family. Its SCPI remote-control interface exposes 421 commands across 41 subsystems - 266 settable and 155 queries - and every command is documented here with its parameters, accepted values, return format, and a copy-paste PyVISA example for automating test and measurement.

All commands

Controls the operations and functions of the AWG through the LAN interface. The manual identifies `AWGControl:RSTate` as a set command with a matching query form `AWGControl:RSTate?`.

Sets the record mode. It is affected by a factory initialization (*RST command) and the default value is Continuous.

Configures arbitrary waveform generator settings. The index lists this command as a standalone AWGControl command.

Returns or sets the channel output state used in Waiting-for-trigger mode. This value applies to all channels and markers and exists for backwards compatibility; the newer OUTPut[n]:WVALue commands are recommended.

:ABORtset / query

Stops waveform playout when Run Mode is set to Gated. It is equivalent to releasing the Force Trig button in gated mode.

Sets or returns the source of the clock. The clock source can be internal, fixed external reference, variable external reference, or an external clock input.

Sets or returns the state of the Sync Clock Out output. A value of 0 or OFF disables it; 1 or ON enables it.

Sets or queries whether imported data is normalized during select file format import operations. This command exists for backwards compatibility; use MMEMory:OPEN[:PARameter]:NORMalize instead.
